My bun in the oven.

 41 weeks. My super bulging tummy.

In anther 8 hours time I'll be seeing Doctor Don again which I thought last week was my last appointment! Shall be doing another round of non-stress testing in the clinic. It's a belt strapped around my belly with a machine to listen to my girl movement and heart rate. Then the test will show whether she is healthy and moving enough. From there he would then advise if induction is needed. Though I very much want a natural birth (with epidural) but I guess God knows what's best for me and my girl. Shall keep my fingers crossed!

As placenta can get old it can stop my baby from growing or not getting enough oxygen or if it still does its job my girl may get too big and I may have hard time pushing her out and thus she may have to be born the caesarean section. 

"hmmm, mei mei..you are playing hard to get with mommy and daddy, we including your big brother are all eager to meet you!"

Suddenly I felt frightened with the thought of having to go through the labour procedure again. You can never be totally prepared for it no matter how many times of birth experiences you have! The love I soon will be feeling for my girl will also comes along the feeling of  endless responsibilities. 

I kept thinking, "can i really handle this?" Of cause I don't wish to stay pregnant stagnantly, but just the thought of moving forward requires so much of me, physically and mentally. But thank God I'm not alone in this. I have my dear hubby with me, I know he will be here me, and for our family.

Suddenly this verse reminds me.

All mine for a little while longer.

Ok my due date (19 August ) has came and left still no signs of labour pain except for mild contractions on Saturday. Perhaps she still needs little more "baking" time. If she still don't comes on Wednesday I will have to see Dr Don again and he will advise what's gonna happen next. 

Just hope she will comes sooner than that on her own and surprise me!

The waiting and wondering is the hardest part! Though I am dying to meet her and hold her in my arms,  but I guess she will be here in good time. 

I can't wait for the waiting to be over but I am still enjoying every moment of her presence in my squeeze belly.

Meanwhile indulging in pizzas with dearie! hopefully she feels enjoyed and wants to be out after this? =)

Week 39 (the final week!)

Before my updates of mei mei in my final week..

14 August 2012.

Its Daddy Henry off day! Went out for family bonding day before our sweet little angel is out. Brought Kieran to SingKids for the 3rd time!

 Wanted to go for a swim but due to time constraint we ended our night at Geylang for a sumptuous supper to fill our hungry stomach.

some parents will bring "gift" for their newborn to the elder siblings during delivery day. This is to prevent feeling being left out and also that he he will love his baby sis instead of feeling jealous of her overwhelmed attentions from us. 

We took almost an hour in Toy R US to decide what to buy for Kieran, its ain't easy to buy toys for our 19month old boy. He simply "wow" at every toys! We ended up buying these two wheels, one is remote controlled with music and light and the other one is "kid tough" for him to "throw" all he wants. We hope he will like it! Oh, and hope one day he won't tell me after he saw this blog post, "mommy and daddy are cheaters, those wheels is not from sis!" 

I love tiny baby clothing especially when they are in shades of pink and red. So girlish!!! I haven't bought any clothes for mei mei yet.  Look at the stacks here. All blessed by my friend and colleague and family. A super big bulk comes from Genie passed down from her princess Jacynth. Some passed down from Kieran.  Now she got equally more clothes as her big brother!

Countdown to baby arrival: 4 days OR LESS

Symptoms: Backache, fatigue, swollen feet hourly toilet breaks, and LOTS of baby movement!

% cooked: 98%

checklist: the house is ready for another round of chaos!

Now we are just patiently waiting for our sweet little one!


I'm filled with much excitement and anxiety after my check today, was told that I am 1cm dilated (only) and little angel head is v low so labour will take place within these few days!
amniotic fluid and heartbeat is good therefore no need for induced birth, she can stay inside till she is happy and willing to come out!

Little "me and friends time" before D-day!

Lately been indulging in me and gfs time without babies before D-day. Because what are the odds of not having baby(s) days like these after my precious arrival?!

 With Lynn the chatterbox at Somerset 313! been long since we last met. A year? both of us were so caught up with our boys, till recently Jacob started attending day care then only she is more free.

She is always full of topics to talk about when we meet! love her jovial character. Never failed to brightened up my day! 

 with my all time shopping and makan gf, the one who always have full of ideas of where and what to eat! she is like a walking makan guru. Hahahha!

 She wants to have high tea with me before my delivery day so I suggested Marmalade Pantry at ION. My second visit. I said I would be back for the cupcakes! so here we are.

 The most recent. A day before National day, an Ad Hoc meet up, but her LONG pre plan place in mind to satisfy her craving of pancakes.

  I think eating at little pancakes is more like having dessert or to have a chill out time with some friends, don't go with empty stomach because unless you have really small appetite. Definitely not for someone with big appetite like me, I almost finished the plate in less than 10 mins but still felt very hungry! Overall those pancakes really taste nice and yummy. =)

well, I still have like 5 more days to enjoy my little "freedom" before I'm back to my breastfeeding, milk pumping and floor pacing days!!! >.<~
